Hasbro has just unveiled Nerf’s new mascot, a foam-sasquatch named Murph. No, we’re not joking.

Nerf is known for their foam-dart blasters which have been around for decades by this point. Everyone loves a good Nerf fight, but what they don’t love is a Nerf fright.

See what I did there?

The mascot, which is made with Nerf’s main product colors, is designed to embody the brand’s focus on fun. Its main slogan, “Unleash the play in you,” is meant to invoke that sense of excitement, when in all reality it just makes things worse. This mascot is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen a brand produce.

The mascot costume is made out of over 10,000 nerf darts stuck together to make its hideous outer layer. It’s wearing two orange Nerf-branded vans and an orange Nerf jersey. Other 3d-digitized images of the character showcase it running around, playing with Nerf guns, which include the Eaglepoint, Commander RD-6 Blaster, and the Super Soaker Hydro Frenzy. In some images he’s even wearing a gold Nerf chain.
