Rainbow Six Siege is finally getting cross-play and cross-progression for consoles on December 6 as a part of the upcoming season Operation Solar Raid. There will also be a new map, operator, and some more features.

PlayStation and Xbox players will be able to automatically matchmake together. Plus, there will be lower wait times. If you don’t want cross-play, you can just turn it off in the settings.

PC and streaming platforms like Amazon’s Luna will not have cross-play for Rainbow Six Siege like consoles. Ubisoft is not planning currently on merging the two.

Rainbow Six Siege players can invite friends through PlayStation, Xbox, and Ubisoft’s Connect overlay. Also, players on both consoles can communicate with each other using voice chat.

Player rank history will be shared between PlayStation and Xbox consoles when using the same Ubisoft Connect account, but will still be separate from PC and streaming services. Your highest rank and Battle Pass progression will be transferred to each console.

Credits and Renown will be available on all platforms. Packs, operators, boosters and cosmetics will be as well.

If you were penalized for behavior, that penalty will be shared across the platforms as well.

In-game options, loadouts, and any equipped cosmetics will still be specific to each console and platform.

Rainbow Six Siege is an online multiplayer third-person tactical shooter by Ubisoft. You can play it today on Xbox Game Pass or purchase it separately. The game is available on console, PC, and streaming platforms.
