Bioshock Infinite has received a recent “Quality of Life” update on its Steam edition, adding a new launcher which includes a “Store to purchase new content.” The update went live on the weekend.

Many fans have been left very upset by the update, as it seems to have completely broken the game for many Bioshock Infinite players. The update has prompted Steam users to give negative reviews, causing the Steam review tag to drop to a ‘Mixed’ rating.

One reviewer wrote that Bioshock Infinite was “ruined by the 2K launcher update.” Others expressed similar remarks and feelings towards the launcher.

It also looks like the Bioshock Infinite Linux and Steam Deck editions have been broken as well by the recent update. This means that in order to get the title to work, Linux and Steam Deck players need Proton.
