Two actors are dead and at least six crew members have been injured after a deadly car crash on the set of the upcoming Netflix show, The Chosen One, in Mexico.
A van transporting some of the cast and crew crashed and flipped while driving on a desert road on the Baja California Sur peninsula. Two of the cast members were killed and six crew members were injured. The deceased have yet to be officially identified, but several news sources have stated that the dead are Mexican actors Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar.
No information has been made available on the crew members and their condition.
Netflix has not revealed any information yet regarding what caused the crash, but so far, it does not appear to be related to the filming or stunt work for The Chosen One.

The Chosen One is a series about a 12-year-old boy who learns he is the reincarnation of Jesus Christ and must save humanity. It is based off of the comic book series by Mark Millar and Peter Gross. The series is being filmed by an independent production company.
There have been many calls made in recent years for more safety measures on the sets of movies and TV shows, especially with the recent accidental death of a crew member on Rust. There was also the death of a stuntperson during the filming of Deadpool 2 a few years back.
