Warner Bros TV plans to shut down both their workshop programs, and one of their production studios alongside mass layoffs due to the studio’s recent budget cuts.

The Warner Bros Television Workshop has been around for 40 years and the announcement comes after Deadline announced it yesterday. Staff layoffs and budget cuts will be following as well.

Stage 13 was opened back in 2017 as a studio to be used for short-form programs, mainly digital ones, such as Its Bruno!. Warner Bros’ Stage 13 division was run by Diana Mogollon. The studio was supervising the studios’ development since back in 2020, and any projects that had been planned for it will be absorbed within the parent company.

This year’s workshops, the Writers and Directors, will be the studios’ last ones as well. All though both workshops have been widely famous since their beginnings in the 1980s, as well as served as a good revenue source for the company, they’ve had to shut them down.

Among the workshops’ alumni are Regina King, and Justin Doble.
