On Wednesday, Obsidian Entertainment announced Wednesday that Pentiment will be releasing on November 15. Pentiment is set to be a narrative-adventure game in medieval times.
In an Xbox Wire post, Obsidian said that pre-orders for the game are currently availabel and Pentiment will be available day one on Xbox and PC Game Pass.
Players are placed in the shoes of Andreas Maler, an artist-detective living in 16th century Bavaria in the age of the Holy Roman Empire. Over the length of 25 years, Maler is tasked with solving a series of murders and scandals set in the fictional town of Tassing and Kiersau Abbey. Players engage in challenges in order to solve the mysteries.
The game is sure to satisfy fans of historical fiction, with its medieval art style as well. Pentiment draws from late medieval manuscripts, woodcut prints, and early modern tapestries. It really is one of the more unique looks for video games nowadays.
Pentiment will release on Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
