Netflix has released a new announcement trailer confirming that its hit Addams’ Family series, Wednesday, is being renewed for Season 2.
The Tim Burton production follows the life of Wednesday Addams, a strange young girl who doesn’t seem to fit in well. Getting into trouble at most high schools she attends, her parents decide to make a desperate decision. They send Wednesday to Nevermore Academy, a school for mythical creatures and strange people.
Wednesday, who is portrayed by Jenna Ortega, must deal with strange happenings at Nevermore. This includes a monster attacking and killing students, a hidden story about her family, a secret society, and so much more.
The series has been a success, and was the second-most watched English-language Netflix series in 2022. It sparked a viral TikTok trend replicating Wednesday’s iconic dance scene and has become a worldwide sensation.
Netflix didn’t reveal more information regarding when Season 2 will be released, nor what we can expect to see. The streaming giant did promise fans that “more misery is coming,” in the true nature of Wednesday, of course.
