Better Booch, a family-founded brand of healthy Kombucha teas, has just raised over $2.5 million to support its continued growth as a brand.
The company was founded in 2012 by musicians Trey and Ashleigh Lockerby after they began making the drink for cancer-diagnosed family members. It’s known for being low sugar and alcohol-free, and is popular in health-focused stores like Whole Foods Markets. Even with the raging pandemic the small brand has doubled its sales over the past year.
“We continue to focus on making the best tasting, most functional products on the market that are truly raw and authentic,” said chief executive Trey Lockerbie (foodbusinessnews).
Vice President of sales at GT”S Kombucha, Scott Presnall, and John Weaver, a regional sales manager for GT Kombucha, have both joined the executive team at Better Booch to help grow the brand further. Alongside them is the former consumer practice arm of Boston Consulting Group Michael Silverstein.
“[I] am committed to helping the company grow distribution, visibility, and velocity.” said Silverstein (foodbusinessnews). The company is predicted to continuously growing its sales as the years continue.
