House of the Dragon has been quickly rising to popularity since its smashing premiere. Over 10 million tuned in on the release day, making it the most viewed premiere ever for HBO. However, eagle-eyed fans are quick to spot the details, and have found a VFX mistake in the latest episode.
In Episode 3 of the Game of Thrones prequel, “Second of His Name,” there is a scene where King Viserys gives a letter to a messenger, revealing what looks to be a green screen glove on his left hand. It seems like his left ring and pinkie finger were supposed to be edited out, and that it may be due to a mysterious illness affecting him.
It’s not entirely clear if HBO will fi the episode yet, as they have not addressed the mistake.
Many fans have started bringing up the coffee up controversy during Season 8 of Game of Thrones. In Episode 4, “The Last of the Starks,” a Starbucks coffee cup was left on a table in the filming. Many fans took that as an opportunity to mock GOT, especially with Season 8 being so disliked.
A showrunner for House of the Dragon, Ryan J. Condal, noted that the set for House of the Dragon was “heavily policed” and that “there was lots of Starbucks hunting going on. I mean, look, that stuff happens all the time. In this case, it happened to be a very — I mean it just goes to show many people watched that series.”
In other news, House of the Dragon is still receiving lots of praise from fans. So, let us know what you think about the GOT prequel in the comments below!
