High on Life, the latest first-person shooter from Squanch Games is currently the most popular game on Xbox Game Pass.
Although it got some mixed reception from critics, it seems like players have been enjoying it greatly. It’s currently superseding Minecraft, Forza Horizon 5, and other video games that have been insanely popular as of late on Xbox.
It’s also selling very well, with Xbox sales rankings placing High on Life in fifth place. Considering that many Xbox players have Game Pass, those sales numbers are very good.
Although the sales and player counts are high, many critical outlets gave the game some fairly low scores. On Metacritic, it has a 63 from critics. Other outlets like The Guardian have published very low reviews. It doesn’t seem to be critically well-received, but user scores moved in the opposite direction. On Metacritic, user scores are high for both Xbox and PC versions of the game.
