Five video games with couch co-op

Playing video games is a fun thing to do alone, but sometimes it’s a lot nicer to have someone playing and enjoying the experience with us. There are lots of games that provide a multiplayer experience. There are also plenty of video games with couch co-op experiences.

Couch co-op is when you can play on the same screen with another person so long as you have another controller, for example. That’s why it’s called couch co-op: You sit on the couch with your family member, friend, partner, etc… and enjoy the game together.

So, here are five video games with couch co-op:

5. Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) is one of the best video games with couch co-op available in it. You can play through almost all of the campaigns from the Halo titles. At the time Halo originally started releasing, couch co-op was a pretty big deal, so most of the games will include it.

You can play through as Master Chief and enjoy his adventures in space fighting the Covenant alongside your gaming buddy.

4. Gears of War (any game)

All of the Gears of War games include couch co-op, which is great. Gears of War is a military sci-fi series that features third-person shooter gameplay. It’s a very fun series to play through and it has lots of emotional and powerful moments as well.

Gears of War deals with a war between humanity and evil reptilian creatures as the two battle for dominance and survival.

3. It Takes Two

It Takes Two was actually specifically designed for couch co-op, so it’s in its best form when you play it with someone else. The game tells the story of Cody and May, a married couple that are planning on getting a divorce.

After they tell their daughter, Rose, the daughter takes handmade dolls and tries to fix the relationship by playing pretend. Her tears activate some type of magic and sends Cody and May into the dolls, where they must try to find a way to return to their bodies.

2. Rocket League

Rocket League features lots of fun and the ability to play couch co-op

Rocket League is an absolutely fun title that also has couch co-op available. Rocket League is also free-to-play, which is a lot nicer too.

Rocket League features gameplay where you are a car and must try to score goals in the other team’s goalpost. It’s sort of like soccer, but with cars.

1. Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga

Lego Star Wars is great

Any Lego game technically works, but the most recent Lego Star Wars game is absolutely brilliant and perfect for couch co-op. For those who grew up playing the original Lego Star Wars games, you probably remember the fun you had with couch co-op.

The Skywalker Saga is even more fun, with more to explore. It includes every Star Wars movie, including the new ones. Not only can you relive the magic of the original tales in new graphics and with new gameplay, but you’ll also get more Star Wars content. All while playing with your friends!
