It looks like videos of gameplay from Grand Theft Auto 6 have leaked online in what looks like in-development footage.
A user by the name of teapotuberhacker posted a zip file onto GTAForums saying “Here are 90 footage/clips from GTA 6. Its possible i could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build.”
The clips have since been viewed on YouTube and Twitter. The footage seems to show robberies, gunplay, conversations, and more. Debug elements also look to be on screen. If it is true footage from GTA 6, then it would also match up with some of the rumors and leaks that have previously come out. The footage also appears to confirm that a female protagonist and a male protagonist will be in the game, which looks to be set in Vice City.
It is unconfirmed who may have obtained the footage, but it may have been a hack. Teapotuberhacker claims the footage was downloaded directly from Rockstar’s internal Slack groups.
Many believe that it is not real footage, but others have pointed out that the voiced dialogue and more are proof that the clips really are from GTA6. Nothing is confirmed as of yet, as Rockstar and Take-Two have not spoken about the footage.
GTA6 was confirmed this year after years of rumors and guessing. However, more official news will be released once Rockstar determines that it’s ready.
