Elon Musk says he will resign as CEO of Twitter once he finds a replacement he approves of

Elon Musk recently posted a poll to his Twitter account asking if he should step down as CEO of Twitter. His $44 billion purchase of Twitter has been entrenched in drama since it was finalized. Changes and decisions have been made and reversed multiple times, and many people are unhappy with Musk’s changes to things like Twitter verification and more. Elon Musk did respond to the recent poll and said he would eventually resign as CEO of Twitter.

The poll received over 17 million responses, with 57% saying that Elon Musk should step down. He posted a response on December 20, saying that “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software and server teams.”

Elon Musk ran the poll once again and user responses were fairly the same. He then tweeted out: “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it.”

Musk then added that, “No one wants the job who can keep Twitter alive. There is no successor.”

The final comment he made has made many people doubt that he will genuinely resign as CEO and find a replacement. It seems like Elon Musk is just trolling, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
