Elon Musk auto union vote

Tesla CEO and billionaire-entrepreneur Elon Musk has recently invited the United Auto Workers Union (UAW) to his company factory in Fremont, Ca., to hold an organizing vote. The Union has yet to release a formal statement on the event, however spokesman Brian Rothenberg brought up tesla’s current legal battle against the US National Labor Board for unfair workplace practices in 2018.

In 2018 the US Labor Relations Board ordered Musk to delete certain twitter posts in which he threatened employees who wanted to join the UAW with loss of stock options. Tesla was also forced to address issues with their labor practices at the Fremont factory.

Three years down the line, in early 2021, Tesla appealed the ruling at a federal appeals court in New Orleans.
