Electronic Arts has finally published the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming Dead Space remake. It was known since July 2021 that EA was working on the remake after releasing a teaser trailer.

The title is being led by creative director Roman Campos-Oriola and Eric Baptizat, the former game director for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The title is in development at studio Motive, which worked on Star Wars Squadrons.

The Dead Space remake is set to release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Dead Space is being rebuilt with the Frostbite engine and promises to deliver “an improved story, characters, gameplay mechanics and more.” It is speculated that this could include content that was cut from the original game, alongside features from sequels.

Players can expect to see the Dead Space remake release on January 27, 2023.

EA also announced that Motive is working on an Iron Man game, which is being developed in collaboration with Marvel Games. The Iron Man title is in pre-production and will be single-player and third-person. Its development team is being led by Olivier Proulx, who had previously worked at Eidos Montreal on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

We featured Dead Space in our “Top 5 Best Horror Games on Game Pass” list and it is certainly engaging to see Dead Space back on screens again.
