Friday’s Comic-Con had some huge updates come out of it. One of them was John Wick 4, after a teaser was released to excited fans showing Keanu Reeves ready, yet again, to kick butt.
The movie, which will be produced by Lionsgate, will be the fourth installment in the John Wick series, and is coming out on March 24th of next year. It comes out following John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, which made close to $200 million at the global box office, more than its predecessors. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not the new movie will beat the last one’s record for the series.
The trailer showcased at Friday’s panel opens with Wick punching a roped pole while dialogue is heard overhead of him being asked: “Have you given any thought to where this ends?”
“No one, not even you, can kill everyone,” the voice continues.
The movie’s announcement isn’t a new one however. It was originally teased at CinemaCon this year. Director Chad Stahelski told The Hollywood Reporter that the idea behind the fourth movie was to “keep finding new and interesting ways to have John Wick suffer.”
“That’s where the action comes from. Figure out how to make him suffer, and then design backward,” the director and main actor Reeves told reporters.
During the teaser Reeves was asked as to whether or not the film would be the final one in the franchise, to which he replied: “We just attack one at a time.”
