The Witcher

Polish video game developer, CD Projekt Red, has confirmed that a new installment of The Witcher is currently under development. One of the most beloved franchises in the fantasy RPG genre, The Witcher has seen high levels of success in recent years.

CD Projekt Red teased the new game on Twitter today, stating that “a new saga begins.”

The new installment in the franchise will be made using Unreal Engine 5, which is a video game engine made by Fortnite developer, Epic Games. CD Projekt Red announced as well that it will be moving its future titles to the engine in a multi-year partnership with Epic Games.

The Witcher is a video game series based off of the works of Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski. The fantasy series features 6 novels and 15 short stories. The series has also received a Netflix adaptation.
