A new game based on the Alien franchise is going to be swooping into consoles, PC, and virtual reality. The game is set to be an “intense single-player, action horror game” experience set within the universe of thee sci-fi franchise.
20th Century Games and Survios, the developer behind VR games like Raw Data and Spring Vector, have stated that their project will be an “untold Aliens story” that is set during the 57-years between the events of the original Alien and the sequel, Aliens.
This new installment in the Aliens franchise follows the story of a veteran seeking revenge against the Xenomorphs, according to the official website for the game. Survios said it will be using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 and it will be built on the studio’s “expertise in creating immersive and authentic gaming experiences.”
More details are set to be revealed during next week’s Comic-Con in San Diego during the Alien: Expanding a Dark and Frightening Universe panel on July 21.
No other details have yet been released about the next Aliens game, however, it seems like fans of the 2014 Alien: Isolation game will be pleased with this next title.
