Google has announced some new and interesting features and updates coming to the Chromebook lineup, which include video editor and movie maker for Google Photos.

Chromebooks are a line of Google Chrome OS laptops. Although Chromebooks do not have the same software capabilities that standard Windows laptops do, many students use Chromebooks in their earlier years to adjust to technology in school. Chromebooks have also been getting more features and updates lately, making them more powerful.

The new update will be available to Chromebook users this Fall, Google stated in a recent blog post. Chromebooks will have the capability to create an “end-to-end movie made up of multiple video clips, photos, at title card, and music.”

The Google Photos app can also generate movies based off of themes. Users will also be able to “trim video clips, or edit them to adjust the brightness, contrast, and more.”

Google is also adding Real Tone filters to the Google Photos app, which are designed to “work well across skin tones.”

Chromebook users will be able to continue working on their projects by using the Google Photos app, along with the Gallery and Files apps. That means you can move files between the Gallery app and Google Photos.

Google has not yet announced if the video editing features will be available for the mobile Google Photos app for smartphones. However, we do predict that Google will eventually bring the features to their apps in the near future.
