Bill Cosby is going to be returning to court soon after new sex abuse allegations were brought forth today.
Judy Huth’s lawyers will be bringing forth their evidence in court that proves Cosby forced her to commit lewd acts at the Playboy Mansion back in 1975, when she was 16. The court’s decision will hinge on Huth’s testimony, which will be backed up by multiple pieces of archival evidence.
This case is one of the last remaining ones against the former comedian, now 85.
Cosby’s lawyers assert that no abuse took place however. Analysts believe the lawyers are likely to emphasize that the process of proving the 50 year old case relies completely on the plaintiffs. They have conceded on the fact that Cosby took her to the mansion when the alleged assault took place, however they deny her being a minor at the time.
Cosby will not be testifying at the trial however, after it was revealed to him that he could plead the fifth against self-incrimination. He is not planning to go to the court at all in fact, with his lawyers defending his actions via his blindness caused by glaucoma.
A month short of a year ago an appeals court in Pennsylvania accepted Cosby’s appeal to nullify his sexual assault conviction, and allowed him to walk free from prison.
Following his release many of the cases standing against him were settled by his insurers.
