Electronic Arts–publisher of Battlefield, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age–is bringing a new Lord of the Rings mobile game. It is set to be a free-to-play collectible RPG and will be called: The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth. No concept art or details have been released by EA as of yet.
EA is working with Middle-earth Enterprises. According to chief brand and licensing officer, Fredrica Drotos, the game will be “solely inspired by Middle-Earth as described in the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien.”

Gameplay will also apparently involve battles across various stories from Tolkien’s works. It is also said that the Lord of the Rings mobile game will include social and competitive play.
Currently no release date has been provided by EA.
