Microsoft has announced the first set of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in December after a leak online revealed several titles. It’s a pretty solid lineup. There are also some new games coming to the Game Pass Core library.
Game Pass recently got some surprise additions with Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2 last night, which was definitely a welcome surprise for many (including myself).
In a post over on Xbox Wire, Microsoft wrote that: “This month, we’re going for a ‘let’s announce everything coming in Game Pass for December’ sort of vibe.
”We’ll be back in early January after the holidays for more games coming soon to Game Pass. So, grab your controllers, charge those mice, and let’s get to the games!”
December 1st will see Spirit of the North on Cloud, Console, and PC. SteamWorld Build will also be available as a day-one release on December 1st on the three Game Pass locations.
December 5th will see the release of two games on Game Pass for the three platforms, which are Clone Drone in the Danger Zone (only on next-gen Xbox systems for Xbox users) and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Another day-one title is coming on December 5th, which is While the Iron’s Hot. The game will release on the three game pass systems as well. December 5th will also see World War Z: Aftermath come to the service, which is a co-op third person zombie shooter.
December 5 is a very big day for Game Pass, clearly.
December 7 will be getting Goat Simulator 3 on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. On December 8, PC Game Pass users will be able to enjoy dark fantasy city builder Against the Storm.
On December 12, Tin Hearts will be coming to Game Pass and finally on December 14, Far Cry 6 will be releasing on Game Pass as well. Another Ubisoft game, Far Cry 6 takes place in the fictional island country of Yara and draws inspiration from Cuba as main character Dani Rojas joins a guerrilla resistance to takedown the despotic dictator Anton Castillo.

- Tin Hearts — Cloud, Console, PC — December 12
- Far Cry 6 — Cloud, PC, Console — December 14
Game Pass Core seems to be getting two new titles this month as well, which are Chivalry 2 and Totally Reliable Delivery Service on December 6. Microsoft has made announcements that the Game Pass Core library will get updates two to three times annually.
Four games are leaving in December, but you can buy them before they’re gone at 20% off. Those games are:
- Chained Echoes
- Opus Magnum
- Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator
- Rubber Bandits
