Cities: Skylines II, the sequel to 2015’s Cities: Skylines is coming this year, much to the excitement of many. Developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive announced the news during the Paradox Announcement Show 2023.
Cities: Skylines II will not be coming to last-gen consoles and instead will release on PC and current-gen consoles only. This includes the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S. There is no current official release date as of yet, but it is confirmed for a release in 2023.
What’s Coming to Cities: Skylines II?
Paradox Interactive said that Cities: Skylines II will improve and expand upon the mechanics that fans knew from the original title. It will include fully-realizing transportation and economy systems, lots of construction and customization options, and advanced modding capabilities.
Players will get a chance to build anything from a small village to a massive metropolis. Paradox is stating that Cities: Skylines II will be the most realistic city simulation ever.
The first Cities: Skylines released back in 2015 on PC and Mac. It eventually came to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and even Stadia (while that was still a thing). Since, it has gotten a remastered version for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as well as a number of DLC expansions.
