The PC Game Pass has been one of the most popular subscription services in PC gaming. With access to hundreds of games, and Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda (and now Activision, set to close in 2023), PC Game Pass has been getting boosts in the world of gaming.

Steam recently began rolling out the highly-anticipated Steam Deck with reviews flooding in already. PC Gamer recently released an article that stated that Valve CEO Gabe Newell wasn’t planning on making a Steam subscription service. However, he stated that he was “more than happy” to work with Microsoft to bring Game Pass to the Steam Deck.

Currently, Game Pass is not available on the Steam Deck as Valve and AMD are finalizing driver compatibility to install Windows on the Steam Deck, which runs on Linux.

Microsoft recently stopped selling its games exclusively on the Microsoft Store and started selling them on Steam. Bethesda, a Microsoft subsidiary, also announced that it was dropping its launcher and moving all their games on Steam moving forward.

The Steam Deck will be able to play Xbox Game Pass games through Cloud Gaming though.
