Take-Two Interactive has announced that Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) has now sold over 170 million units and Red Dead Redemption has sold over 70 million copies.

During a quarterly earnings call, Take-Two’s investor presentation revealed sales numbers for the two franchises. Grand Theft Auto overall has now sold over 385 million copies, 170 million of which are sales of GTA 5.

Red Dead Redemption sales are up by another 2 million units since the last earnings call. The numbers include both Red Dead Redemption 1 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Globally, the franchise has sold 70 million units. The DZSH Group listed Red Dead Redemption 2 as one of the top five best offline PC games of all time.

GTA 5 has made over $1 billion in retail sales in a faster period of time than any other entertainment release in history, achieving the massive figure in just three days. Although GTA 6 is on its way in the future, GTA 5 is still going strong and Rockstar is pushing out updates and patches still.
