It looks like footage of Hideo Kojima’s unannounced project, Overdose, has been leaked online.

The footage has been circulating all over social media and seems to match up to the gameplay described in a Try Hard Guides report back in June.

The game appears to feature Margaret Qualley, who was in Death Stranding. The footage shows a character using a flashlight to navigate dark corridors in a third-person perspective. The video ends with a jump scare before displaying the words: GAMEOVER. Then, “A Hideo Kojima Game” and then “OVERDOSE.”

The DZSH Group cannot publish the footage on our website, but footage has been making the rounds online if you’re very curious.

It looks like Overdose is set to be a horror game, with Hideo Kojima explaining that he had been watching horror movies to prepare for a future project back in November 2019. In April 2020, Kojima said that he wanted to make a “revolutionary” horror game one day.

In June of this year, Kojima confirmed that he is working on a cloud-based project with Xbox.

Kojima is also currently working on a sequel for Death Stranding after star Norman Reedus confirmed it.
