Marvel and EA have signed an agreement for the Battlefield publisher to make at least three action-adventure games based on the Marvel comics.

In a report by Bloomberg it was revealed that the deal will begin with the previously announced Iron Man game from EA Motive. All three of the upcoming Marvel titles will be coming to both PC and Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Each game is set to feature an original story set in the Marvel universe.

With the Marvel deal, EA is looking to branch its portfolio. Chief operating officer Laura Miele said that: “We have an intentional, deliberate strategy to have a balanced portfolio. There will be Marvel fans who don’t play other EA games.”

It’s not confirmed yet what the other two EA games will focus on from Marvel, and if they will branch away from the Iron Man game or not.

Currently, it is known that EA Motive’s Iron Man game is a “single player, action-adventure game.”

EA Motive is currently working on the Dead Space remake and has worked on titles like Star Wars: Squadrons.
