Deathloop and Dishonored actually have connected universes

Bethesda has no shortage of popular, best-selling games. Dishonored is one of their best out there, with an overwhelmingly large amount of positive reviews and players hopping in to this day. When it comes to such popular games, fan theories are bound to arise, and it looks like Arkane Studio just confirmed a specific fan theory out there: Dishonored and Deathloop are connected.

In an episode of the Xbox Podcast, the creative director at Arkane Studio, Dinga Bakaba, confirmed that the universe of Dishonored and the universe of Deathloop are the exact same. Bakaba explained that fans of Deathloop were able to spot hints that point to a connection to Dishonored.

Bakaba explained that the team at Arkane “envisioned Deathloop to be happening in the future after Death of the Outsider.” (Death of the Outsider was a DLC expansion to Dishonored). Bakaba actually noted that the logo on the side of the Heritage gun in Deathloop is the logo of Dunwall Tower from Dishonored.

Despite the connections, Deathloop is still supposed to be a standalone title, so the connection is a bit difficult to spot at first glance. This is especially true considering that Dishonored is a stealth assassination game and Deathloop is a shooter.

If you were able to spot some of these connections, let us know in the comments below!
