Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is Ubisoft’s next upcoming free-to-play shooter spin-off that is set to release on PC, consoles, and cloud gaming platforms. The game was originally announced back in May 2021, and is being led by Red Storm Entertainment.
A product page was briefly up on the Ubisoft Store and is reportedly coming soon, but the page was pulled. It is not clear why, but it may have been accidentally put up early.
The Division Heartland is officially described as a “free-to-play survival-action multiplayer shooter set in small-town Middle America. Play as one of six agents and select between three classes each match, all with their own perks and skills.”
There will be two game modes: Storm Operations and Excursion Operations. Storm Operations are set to be 45-player PvEvP matches where players must fight off rogue agents called Vultures and a lethal virus. Excursion Operations have players compete in PvE missions.
Back in May, 20 minutes of footage from a closed playtest of The Division Heartland was leaked, but the footage was taken down quickly by Ubisoft.
It is possible that Ubisoft is planning on revealing more information on September 10 during their Ubisoft Forward livestream event, which will also see the “future of Assassin’s Creed” unveiled, as well as a reveal for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
