Indiana Jones 5

Mads Mikkelsen, one of the star actors in Indiana Jones 5, has detailed to the media his experiences working on the Indiana Jones 5 film set, and how the film is authentic to the originals.

1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark film was one of Harrison Ford’s most famous movies ever, and began the start to one of television’s most iconic franchises. Three movies subsequently followed the original release, the final one being premiering at cinemas back in 2008.

However audiences are set to see another Indiana Jones film come out in 2023, and they’re excited. The film is being directed by James Mangold, the director behind Wolverine and Logan. Currently, not many details about the movie have been revealed, however we do know that the cast will contain Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Toby Jones, and Mads Mikkelsen, who’s current role has not been revealed. Both Mikkelsen and Holbrook have told the press however that Ford is more active than ever, even at 80 years old, and that the film will be intense.

During an interview with Variety Magazine at the Sarajevo Film Festival, Mikkelsen detailed small but revealing bits of information on his experiences working on set. He stated that the movie feels like “a real Indiana Jones film,” and that the franchise will feel like it did back in the 1980’s.

“Every day of shooting felt like a real Indiana Jones film. It felt like going back to the scratch. Everything looked like it. Harrison was there wearing his clothes. It was just a brilliant experience.”

However, the fifth installment will be the only one in the series not directed by Stephen Spielberg, so questions will arise as to how the movie will actually fare in comparison to its original counterparts. Mikkelsen dispelled concerns by giving such a positive look into the movie.

There are high chances that Mikkelsen may be playing a villain in the film, seeing as his career has mostly been one of villainy. Although we still don’t have much detailed information on the film, more updates are expected to come out as it enters post-production.
