Apple has announced that it will hold a press event on September 7 at 1 PM ET. It is expected that Apple will also announce the launch of the new iPhone 14.

The launch event will be streamed on Apple’s website, similar to previous virtual pre-recorded launch events that were done during the COVID-19 pandemic. Apple is also inviting people to watch at its Cupertino, California campus.

It is speculated that Apple may announce the new Apple Watch and AirPods models at the event. The company is reportedly preparing to announce the new Mac and iPad models in October during a separate event.

The iPhone 14 will have four models. Alongside improved cameras, the iPhone 14 Pro version may have a smaller cutout on the top of the display. This would be different than the traditional notch design that has been on iPhones since the release of the iPhone X. The iPhone 14 is also reportedly including an always-on display.

No word has been given yet on prices for the iPhone 14 models. Many expect that there may be some increases to the price due to inflation, however.

The next iOS for the iPhone is set to release after the September event, and will have customizability for the lock screen and the ability to unsend and edit iMessages.
