Xenon was the codename for the original Xbox 360 when it was unveiled at E3 way back in 2005.
The new Hyperkin Xenon controller will have some changes brought to the original design. Firstly, the Menu, View, and Share buttons will be the same as what we’ve seen on the latest Xbox Series X/S controllers. Plus, it’s not going to have that massive battery slot in the back that 360 gamers can remember!
Hyperkin has brought back other old Xbox controllers like the Duke back in 2018. The Duke was the first controller and released for the original Xbox console back in the day. The Duke was known for its massive size.
Back in 2021, Hyperkin released the Xbox 20th anniversary and Halo 20th anniversary Cortana edition variants of the Duke controller to celebrate the release date of Halo: Combat Evolve.
The new Xenon will be available in the following colors:
- Black
- White
- Pink
- Red
Currently, there is no official release date on when the controllers will release. However, it’s expected to release early 2023.
For many of us, the original Xbox 360 controller brings back some good memories. It’s probably one of the best controllers ever made in gaming and it really is an iconic piece of technology. For those nostalgic folks out there, this is sure to be a wishlist item!
