Nintendo has finally revealed that Pikmin 4 is coming in 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.
During Nintendo Direct, Shigeru Miyamoto announced the new title that will arrive years after the release of Pikmin 3 back during the Wii U cycle.
Miyamoto said that the game was “very close to completion” back in 2015 and it seemed to have fallen down the list of priorities for Nintendo in 2016. However, it is real and it is coming next year.
Miyamoto said that Pikmin 4 will let users play from Pikmin’s perspective near the ground. During Nintendo Direct, no gameplay was shown, however.
“Nintendo Switch has made controlling the game simpler, meaning you can further concentrate on the core essence of Pikmin gameplay.
“We call it ‘Dandori’ in Japanese, or strategically planning, deploying, and commanding the Pikmin.”
