The world’s eighth richest person and co-founder of software giant Oracle, Larry Ellison, has recently set a Florida record for the state’s most expensive home after buying a massive 22-acre large compound.

Ellison, who’s current net worth sits at $93.6 billion, chose to buy the home on the southern Floridian island of Manalapan. Alongside an ocean-to-lake compound he bought a portion of Bird Island, which sits nearby the new home.

According to USA TODAY’s subdivision Palm Beach Daily Ellison used an LLC to buy the new home from another billionaire’s trust. The original owner purchased the property, originally referred to as Gemini, from the Ziff family back in 2021.

The property is massive, and the two portions of the main dwelling are connected via an underground series of tunnels. One of these tunnels is actually an art gallery! Over-ground the home has about 1,200 total feet of beach front land and 1,300 of waterfront land on the lake-face side.

There sits a total of about 85,000 square feet of living space between the main home and several other homes on the property. Of that there are 33 bedrooms, 34 bathrooms, and 13 vanity/powder rooms.

There’s also a golf-practice court, tennis court, basketball court, a mini-golf course, pond, and boat doc. And if it didn’t sound crazy enough, there’s also a butterfly and bird garden. If this home doesn’t scream luxury we don’t know what does.
