It looks like Bungie is gearing up for a crossover with Fortnite and Destiny 2. Fortnite leaker MidaRado teased a potential Destiny 2 collaboration over the weekend, and a Destiny dataminer named Ginsor has confirmed the crossover event after revealing an image showing several Fortnite skins in Destiny 2.
The image shows the Titan armor set that looks similar to the Black Knight available during Fortnite’s Season 2 battle pass. Destiny’s Warlock is shown with a Fortnite-style Drift Mask, and the Hunter looks like Fortnite’s Omega skin.
No further details have been given out just yet, and it’s not entirely clear how Destiny 2 players will get access to the skins. It’s likely that the skins will be universal ornaments in Destiny 2 and that players will be able to apply them to armor sets and customize characters with them.
There are also some rumors suggesting that Destiny 2 skins might be showing up in Fortnite in the near future as well.
This wouldn’t be the first time Bungie has done crossover content in Destiny 2. Its 30th anniversary was celebrated with a content drop that included guns similar to ones seen in Halo. The 30th Anniversary Pack was released last year and included a Magnum-style sidearm and a Battle Rifle-style pulse rifle.
Bungie is gearing up to reveal season 18 of Destiny 2 in the next few days, as well as the next major expansion of the franchise: Lightfall. The Destiny 2 showcase is set for Tuesday August 23 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. It would be the first major Destiny 2 showcase since the Sony acquisition of Bungie was announced earlier this year.
