Many Christmas tales tell sweet stories that are feel-good, and others speak of emotionally powerful stories that make you rethink your life. Either way, Netflix–the biggest subscription streaming service out there–has plenty of Christmas movies that are perfect to catch before the holiday season ends!

A young pop star named Angelina is feeling pretty burnt-out with her career. She decides to grant a young fan’s wish and goes to New York. However, when she gets there, she finds both inspiration to keep going with her career and true love.

Siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce want to capture Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, as most children do. The plan goes a bit wrong and the kids join forces with Santa Claus and his elves in order to save Christmas before it’s too late.
The Christmas Chronicles is one of the best Christmas movies on Netflix because it’s not only great for the whole family, but it’s got it’s feel-good moments too. The focus is definitely on family with this one, which is often a central theme of most Christmas movies.
8. The Princess Switch
I’m sure you remember The Princess and the Pauper (Or The Prince and the Pauper, depends on what version you know). The Princess Switch is a bit of a different take on that original story.
One week before Christmas, a duchess switches places with a regular woman from Chicago who looks just like her. When that happens, they each fall in love with each other’s to-be’s.
It’s a pretty funny and enjoyable movie that you should give a watch. It’s also part of a trilogy, in case you can’t get enough of the story.
7. A Christmas Prince
It’s nothing insanely memorable, but it’s good enough to make it to the list of the best Christmas movies on Netflix.
A Christmas Prince tells the story of a young journalist named Amber. She’s sent abroad to write an article about a royal family and ends up meeting Prince Richard. I’m sure you can assume what’s next.
6. The Knight Before Christmas
The Knight Before Christmas has a pretty funny premise. A knight from medieval times gets transported to the modern world where he meets a high school science teacher. I think you can guess the rest!
The story is not the most original, but it’s charming enough and has some good funny elements to it for sure.
5. The Noel Diary
The Noel Diary follows the story of Jake Turner, a best-selling author who has returned home at Christmas. He’s trying to settle his estranged mother’s estate, but discovers a diary that may hold secrets of his past. However, it also contains secrets of a young woman named Rachel. Both Rachel and Jake embark on a journey to confront their pasts and discover the future together.
The Noel Diary is definitely one of those more romantic movies that’s a bit on the emotional wholesome side. It’s also based on a novel by Paul Evans.
4. A Boy Called Christmas
A Boy Called Christmas is a pretty nice movie that’s great for children. It tells the story of a boy named Nikolas who goes on a journey north to search for his father. His father is on a quest to discover Elfhelm, a fabled village of elves.
Nikolas takes a reindeer named Blitzen and his loyal pet mouse. Soon, Nikolas discovers his destiny in this powerful story.
A Boy Called Christmas was actually adapted from the bestselling book by Matt Haig.
3. Falling for Christmas
Lindsay Lohan stars in this new Christmas movie that released just this year. She stars as Sierra Belmont, a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress. Sierra gets into a skiiing accident and suffers from total amnesia.
When she wakes up, she finds that she’s in the care of a lodge worker and his daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. I guess you can imagine what happens next.
It’s not the most insane Christmas movie out there, but it’s got a safe premise and tells a pretty decent story.
2. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey features some pretty big names like Keegan-Michael Key (Key from Key and Peele). The story is also pretty wholesome and definitely has that feel-good Christmas spirit to it.
A once joyful toymaker has become quite saddened after his apprentice betrays him. However, his hope is rejuvenated when his happy young granddaughter shows up at his doorstep.
It’s been praised for its music, bold visuals, and so much more.
1. Klaus
Klaus is actually one of the more unique entries to the list. It’s not the same as your classic feel-good Christmas movies, but it’s pretty interesting. It’s received many awards for its animation and story, so you can tell that it’s going to be good.
Klaus tells the story of a postman who underperforms at an academy to try and defy his father. He is sent north and must post 6,000 letters, otherwise he will be cut off. When he gets there, he meets a reclusive toymaker named Klaus.
It has been praised for its visuals, story, and so much more. It’s also definitely the best Christmas movie on Netflix.
