Google TV, the replacement for Android TV, may be receiving 50 free live TV channels soon. The information comes from 9to5Google, which revealed that Google TV might be expanding its live TV offering.
Text in the app states: “Enjoy 50 channels of live TV without the need to subscribe, sign-up, or download.”
This would be different than Google TV’s model of adding other streaming services, which requires downloading a separate app and having your own subscription. These live channels would already come with Google TV.
These channels range from the news to entertainment and more. Of these, the channels include:
- ABC News Live
- CBC News
- FailArmy
- Love Nature
- Hallmark Movies & More
- Power Nation
- USA Today
- Teletubbies
- Xumo Movies
…And many more.
Google TV can be downloaded on Android smartphones, but they can also be accessed on some Smart TVs and the Google Chromecast.
