Big Chungus, one of the biggest memes of 2016, might be joining one of the biggest games of 2022. The large version of Bugs Bunny swept the internet by a storm a few years ago, but has consistently lurked in the shadows of other memes to this day.
Warner Bros. has filed a trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) to use Big Chungus in all manner of goods and services. This would include mutlimedia and merchandise.
VGC contributor Andrew Marmo spotted the trademark. It doesn’t mention what Warner Bros. is planning on doing with Big Chungus, but with the success of the free-to-play brawl fighter MultiVersus, it’s safe to say that Big Chungus would be a likely contender in the ring.
It’s not fully confirmed that Big Chungus will be showing up in MultiVersus, but with Warner Bros. looking to continue to expand their successful game’s fighter roster, it’s not all that impossible to imagine.
