Are the new prices enough to satisfy the fans?
343i, the developer for Halo Infinite, promised that it would be making changes to the pricing of the store in Halo Infinite. The microtransactions–which have been at the forefront of many complaints regarding Infinite–are finally getting a change that is hopefully for the better.
The biggest change would be the large bundles featuring things like cosmetic coats, weapons, vehicles, and more. Some time ago, the bundle was easily $17. Now, it’s about $10 or 1,200 in-game credits.
The different cosmetic packs have seemingly all gone down in price, and some reports have announced that fans are pleased with the changes.
In-game microtransactions have always been a controversial point in video games. In many, they cost massive price tags and seem to be a focus in many games nowadays. With Halo Infinite’s decision to make a free-to-play multiplayer, it’s obvious that there had to be some way to earn some money from the gain through microtransactions. However, there have been a few controversial decisions like the cat-ears in Halo.
In any case, the price changes hopefully show that 343i cares about what the fans have to say.
