Nintendo has confirmed that a Nintendo Direct presentation for Splatoon 3 will take place on Wednesday, August 10 at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST.

Splatoon 3 is set to launch on September 9, and the Direct will be about 30 minutes long. The Direct will reveal new updates on the game, including new weapons, modes, and potential secrets about its single-player campaign. The Direct will be streaming over on YouTube and Twitch.

In a tweet by Nintendo today, the company said: “Join us in the Splatlands for roughly 30 minutes of updates!”

Splatoon 3 takes place in a place called Splatsville, with Nintendo hinting that the main story will revolve around the “Return of the Mammalians.” Many believe that this suggests that players will encounter a new species.

The popular Salmon Run co-op mode has been confirmed for Splatoon 3, however there are many things that are still unknown.

Splatoon originally released for the Wii U and then its sequel released for the Nintendo Switch. Splatoon’s gameplay model is a team-based shooter. Splatoon 3 is set to be one of the biggest Nintendo Switch exclusives to launch this year.

Nintendo has recently held a Direct for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and held a Pokemon Presents last week.
