Sega just announced that Sonic Frontiers has gone gold and that the game will release on the Nintendo Switch and other platforms on November 8.
Sonic Frontiers was originally set to release back in 2021 to align with the 30th anniversary of Sonic. However, Sonic Team made the decision to postpone the launch to “brush up the quality” of the game.
The soundtrack for Sonic Frontiers is being worked on by Tomoya Ohtani, a veteran Sega composer. About 6.5 hours of music are set to be featured.
Sonic Frontiers director Morio Kishimoto made the announcement in a post that was translated by the SonicJPNews Twitter account. All-in-all, it took about five years of development to make Sonic Frontiers.
It also seems like the upcoming release has gotten Sonic fans excited, especially after several fairly disappointing previous entries. However, many are holding out hope for a good title this time around.
