An unknown Silent Hill game has seemingly been rated in Korea

It looks like a new Silent Hill game called The Short Message might be coming, according to a rating in Korea.

The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea (via Gematsu) has given a rating for the previously unannounced Silent Hill: The Short Message. At this point, not much information is really known at all about this Silent Hill game. Some speculate that it could be a playable teaser.

The publisher of The Short Message was listed as UNIANA, who recently published Konami’s free-to-play soccer game, eFootball 2023. Additionally, it’s not known if The Short Message is a teaser for Silent Hill, a spinoff, or mobile game. It could also be an arcade experience, since UNIANA produces arcade cabinets.

Silent Hill is one of the most popular horror games and first released for the PlayStation One back in 1999. It tells the story of a man named Harry Mason who is searching for his missing adopted daughter in a strange American town.

It’s been nearly 10 years since the last full game for Silent Hill released, with not much information coming out about it since.

Despite this, there have been leaks and rumors surrounding potentially multiple new Silent Hill games in the works. Although, it is not clear if Silent Hill: The Short Message is part of those or not.

At this point, there are eight main games in the Silent Hill series, with the last one, Silent Hill: Downpour, releasing back in 2012.
